Collingwood Sixth Form

Reflection and Recovery

On Monday 14 September, Collingwood Sixth Form held a Wellbeing day which involved a day off timetable as part of the recovery curriculum to reflect on the past months in lockdown and focus on ways in which students could discuss and come to terms with their own individual experiences.  The day really helped establish the general concerns of students as well as provide a comforting environment to express and communicate with each other.

After lunch, the Student Prefect Team organised a Sixth Form Fresher's style event which was a great opportunity to have some fun and to welcome our new Year 12 students.  The sun was shining and it was great to see everyone getting involved with the range of outdoor activities to encourage team building and working together.

In addition to the fun activities out on the field there was a Krispy Kreme doughnut station and an ice cream van who kindly donated 10% of the profits, both of which helped to raise £170 for a local charity called "Harrys Hat" based in Bagshot` which is a charity organisation that focuses on helping children and their families who are affected by Hydrocephalus."
